Yoga Mini Courses

At Exalt Yoga we believe that everyone should strive to never stop learning. Whether it's about yoga asana, anatomy, philosophy, meditation or whatever makes you want to be a better teacher and student of the practice of yoga. Because of this, we offer several courses on-demand, that you can watch from the comfort of your home, at the time and pace that best suits you. 

Below is a list of the 2-10 hour courses currently being offer and those that will be landing on our platform within the near future.

Introduction to Yin Yoga History, Philosophy & Core Principles

Approximately 2 hours

This course introduces all of the foundational information about what the Yin Yoga practice is, where it came from and the key principles on how to practice. It also includes a 60 minute beginner's Yin practice. Watch the video below to learn more:

Introduction to the
Subtle Body

Approximately 3 hours

This course introduces you to the subtle body, as is informed by the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine. You will learn about the various types of energy, how we manipulate it, the location of the meridians and much more! Watch the video below to learn more:

Introduction to the Functional Approach to Yin Yoga Asana

Approximately 3 hours

This course introduces the fundamental concepts of the functional approach to Yin Yoga asana, as is taught by the Founders of Yin Yoga, Paul & Suzee Grilley. This approach to asana prioritizes the purpose of a pose (or why we're doing it) over just creating a specific shape. Learn more by watching this video:

Yin Yoga Asana: An Overview of the Poses

Approximately 2.5 hours

This course walks through over 40 of the primary Yin Yoga asana, common variations for each of them and how you can utilize props and body leverage to modify the pose to suit your body's needs. Watch the video below to learn more:

Introduction to Myofascial Release

Approximately 4 hours

In this introductory course to the practice of self-myofascial release, you will learn about the anatomy of fascia & myofascial tissue, the various tools that can be used to manipulate them and the techniques for utilizing them. Included in this course is a 90 minute myofascial relase class for the neck and back. Learn more by watching the video below:

10hr Chair Yin Yoga Training

Approximately 10 hours

In this course, intended for experienced Yin yoga teachers, you will learn how to adapt the practice to the chair, making it more accessible to the aging population, those in a wheelchair, as well as those with amputations, paralysis.
